The Arcata Fire Protection District is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Engineer to join our team.

Under the general supervision of a Company Officer, the Fire Engineer drives assigned fire apparatuses and other automotive equipment to emergency scenes, operates fire pumps, and performs inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on Fire Department apparatus and equipment. This position assists in controlling and extinguishing fires, rescuing individuals endangered by accident or fire, and responding to and providing assistance for medical aid calls, vehicle accidents, and hazardous materials incidents.
